Indignation by Philip Roth Summary

Recently I finished reading the novel, Indignation, by Philip Roth. I greatly enjoyed reading the novel and found the story to be quite interesting. The novel takes place in 1951 in America, which was during the second year of the Korean War. The main character is a boy named Marcus who is from Newark, New Jersey. He is in his sophomore year of college at Ohio's Winesburg College. The reason he is there is because he wanted to get away from his family, who her is very different from. For example, he is the first member of his family to pursue an education beyond the high school level.
